Since the '72 is my mistress, the '69 must be the (good) wife - always
reliable if a bit less exciting. Always know how she'll perform.

Felt bad about how I've been neglecting her, so yesterday gave the '69 a
thorough cleaning, installed the new starter button from MG and new seal
around the headlight (BIG thanks to Rob <and Sam for the cookies!>). Had
ordered a new ignition switch too (been having the bike just shut off
momentarily, then come alive again when I jiggled the key), but opened
the original, cleaned the contacts and reinstalled. New rear tire
arrives later this week, so then I can swap wheels back and (hopefully)
have two fully functionally ready bikes once again by the weekend.
Cheers,

Long live the '69 Ambo!

Sorry to hear about your '72, though, Charlie.
