But at least you can re-use cooper washers whereas aluminum are single-use.
But only a good auto parts place will have cooper washers these days...and
as Greg mentioned, in SAE sizes.

Aluminum are hard to find. If you are in a rush, run down to your local
hardware store and find some brass or copper ones. Even inch will do in
a pinch, although you may have to get a smaller OD one and drill out the
ID to the proper fit. Not as good, I'm told, but they have worked for me
in the past until I was able to add them in with more goodies from R &
G.
