I went on my first real loop ride 2 weeks ago and my clutch cable let loose
at the handle in a town of 2000, I went into a gas station and found a post
style battery clamp for 99 cents, ran the cable through the lever and
clamped the battery cable clamp on to it and rode it for 200 more miles. But
I did need a screwdriver to tighten the clamp.

Have rode guzzi's since 1973 been stranded once Don't see any need to
carry tools and take up space that can be used for something else.
by the way thanks for the negative response on using convert cam in an
850 eng dave recommends a b10 cam but since I have the other it will be
used and save the 500
