Made sure I turned the pet cocks off before leaving. Got back last night and the bike started right up! Even seemed to be able to turn the |
off sooner. Turned everything off and it started right up this morning. Rode into town and she even seem to run better. Wow. What a difference turning the gas off makes. No tears. No threats. No frustration. Thanks |
bringing it to my attention guys. New issue. When I park the bike I can smell a distinct smell of burnt brakes. Maybe burnt clutch, not sure I would know the difference in smell. The smell is not as strong as say a semi after a hard brake, but you wouldn't want to gather around the bike after it was parked. Both the brakes and the clutch seem fine. Brakes do not seem to be grabby. No problems stopping. Don't seem week, or anything unusual. Shifting seems fine, a little clunky, but my understanding is that all Guzzis are a |
clunky. Do you think this is just from sitting for 6+months (probably since last summer) without being on the road and will work itself out (lot rot) or does something need adjusting? My truck has to have the drum brakes adjusted like twice a year or so, I didn't see anything in the books about periodic adjustment of the drum brakes, but maybe I missed it.
