that explains why they recommend it for my Harley where it is hidden
below the seat, behind the rear jug, in a space with almost zero air
flow.

I told them the Guzzi was lumpy at idle, like most v-twins, but they still didn't recommend it. I think the jacket was $20 more or so. It'll cost $17 just to ship from California. I called the recommended dealers in AL and OH, both of whom said they didn't deal with m/c batteries. No dealers anywhere around here. Oh well. I'm excited about the technology and lifespan.
