Hi Hans,
I had a very bad experience with the (now defunct) guzzi dealership in
the Toronto area: it was too much of a bother for him to do the safety
inspection and he was going to charge me a fortune. Ended up going to a
Kawasaki dealer who looked over my bike - checked my brakes and lights.
Some things were not to 2000 specs, but he said it did not matter
because the bike was a 72 - what mattered was that the safety elements
be to 1972 standards . And he charged me a fraction of what the other
wanted.
So in brief - get a sympathetic dealer, make sure your brakes, horn,
tires, lights etc are in good order and you should be ok. Talk to the
dealer before to make sure my comment is still current - but this was
only a few years ago.
Despite my bad experience with Canadian guzzi dealers, you could try
Topmoto in Montreal that sold Guzzi - I seem to recall they are in the
Atwater area south of Ren� Levesque bld - but my memory may be playing
tricks on me in my old age.
