For what it's worth;
MG sent three to me, so I used three....figgered they was more ed-u-ma-cated on the subject than I, so I used all three. The bike isn't complete and back on the road yet, but will be within the next week or so, so I have no idea what the effect of using all three will be.

You can use three. I did that on my Ambo and never had a problem.

What do you think of installing three cones instead of two? It was
recommended by MG after I told them I did not uninstall a plastic tube
of some sort at the clutch rod. I trust them of course but wanted a
better explanation. Anyone done this? Do they all go together? I should
have asked MG but was so excited to finally be buying the clutch that I
forgot.

Ray,
The cones can be put in either way, doesn't matter.
