Years ago I did a valve job on my 72 Ambo for $40. My buddy and I used
Chevy valves. I had to cut the stems and turn new keeper grooves in them.
They're still in the bike pounding away.

Frugality is the mother of creativity.

If your U joint is shot I do rebuilds for half the cost of a new one.

Hello. I am a new 73' Eldorado basket case owner in the Chicago area and

am looking for some advice on where to get a valve job and other machine

work (hopefully i will not need much). Seems to be quite a bit of carbon

deposits on the valves so i was thinking this should maybe be my first
move. My bike is now all apart and i am in the process of figuring out
what needs to be replaced and what i can leave alone. Are there any
"Must replace" items now that i have all the pieces on the floor? The
bike is a police model and has 43K on the clock.

Thanks for the help!
