What to do now? The stock horns look neat, but are not very loud. After I
fix the wiring, how do I get real horns? Can these be taken apart, cleaned,
and transformed into serious warning devices? Or do I replace them, and if
so, with what? Any experience in this area will be appreciated.

I don't know the cost but the horns on my Honda GL1800 are extremely
loud and could be a good option.
