Don't know if any of this will help, Fred. But I remember an "old time"
Guzzi rider told me once to go one size larger on the pilot jet anytime
the idle mixture screws needed to be turned out more than 2 turns. I've
also found that idle mixture screws with a different taper to the tip
can make a difference. Using the earlier pre-EPA screws made a
difference on my Morini. I was pondering the other day though which is
which - is the long, barely noticable taper the "EPA" screw or the
short, noticable one? Can't dismember! Cheers,
