Hi Tom,
Sent you an e-mail offline but not sure if it went. Are you interested
in selling the heel-toe shifter and rear crash bars? I NEED a civilian
heel-toe for my Ambo, crash bars would be a nice addition.

Hi all, Now some of you may say that I am lucky, my wallet says otherwise.. While tooling around Phoenix, running errands and shopping, I happened down a road that I do not often frequent. I got stopped by a red light and was looking around to see what had changed since the last time I was ever around here. First thing I notice is a big lot with a bunch of motorcycles all piled together behind a fence. Hmmm! I look arund, trying to find an entrance. I decide to pull into an area right off the road as soon as the light changes, park, and then go snoop around and have me a look-see. As I pull into the lot, I notice the building there has a sign on it, Mid City Motorcycle Salvage. Cool! It's my friend Steve, and his new location. It looks to be an old storage facility with a huge fenced area for parts bikes. I see Steve and give him a big wave, he waves back. I find the right door(tried the wrong one first) and wondered on in. NICE! I go ahead and go out back where Steve is, "Hi Tom!" "Hi Steve" "Hey, I found a bunch of old Guzzi stuff during the move. Want it?" Let's have a look. We go to one of the storage units and he opens it up. Boxes and milk crates stuffed full all over the place. "Here's the box" he says. We dig it out, and what a find! A nice pair of Eldo battery covers, a set of rear crashbars, rear footpegs with brackets, two toolboxes-one nice with 850 logo, lock and key, the other sanded, no lock. Ambo police style battery tray and a neat pair of red lights mounted on stock Moto Guzzi brackets, plus some junk...Oh yeah, and an air filter box with filter and a heal/toe shifter.. The lights are interesting as they are not Dietz, but SAE items. Cool, though. Anyways, I bought the whole box. How can a Guzzi addict resist, I ask ya?! Do I need ANY of the stuff? Not really, but I LOVE spare parts. Now, I NEED to assemble MY Eldo. It has been down THREE YEARS! The Arizona Kid LFL 009 Tom Short AZ MGNOC Rep Phoenix, AZ |
