Patrick, are motorcycle oil pressure switches generic or specific to each
brand of motorcycle? Thanks BOb

there. Can it be my oil pressure switch is bad? Why else would that bulb not light if I've got continuity and 12V is in the line? |
Keith: That is exactly what is wrong. You have verified it by
measuring 12v at the switch. The circuit works when there is no oil
pressure and then the switch goes to ground through the engine case.
Obviously, your switch isn't closing. Pull the wire off and stick it to
the engine or head. I'll bet it lights right up then. Go get a switch.
They are absolutely notorious for failures. Five dead switches (maybe
more) for every bike that actually has a pressure failure.
