How about a full rundown on the modifications, including pictures. |
The bike still looks pretty much like it does on Mike's website:
classicguzzi.com/id84.htm
Action shots under "we support the sport" on MG Cycle's website: mgcycle.com
Modifications are
Stock bottom end, Gilordoni (SP) cylinders/pistons, Tonti heads, lightened
flywheel, Mikuni carbs, custom 2into1 exhaust, rearsets, T front forks with FAC
dampers & Wirth springs, Progressive rear shocks, Brembo F09 front caliper.
Not being a fan of running fat tires on a Guzzi, I've been running a
110/80/18 rear & a 90/90/18 front. The bike handles great this way but this year I'm
trying a 120/80/18 rear, because it has a larger diameter & will pick up the
rear of the bike .5". The front tire will remain the same as anything larger
slows the steering down to much.
I'm working on a new motor, nothing to radical, cam, port work & ram clutch.
Right now, as important as more hp, is getting the frame set up to use the
power. When the motor comes out, I will be welding some bracing on the frame. I
will be running at Mid-Ohio this year & should have the new motor by then.
