Yeah, no kidding. Not a bad idea actually. Who's gonna look right?

Ron, sounds typical.
One thing I have found with ins. companies... is that the folks
for them are basically drones, lemmings and the like. They can'tshould
understand that an 850 was a decent size motor back then and they
take into account the year of the bike, expecting folks to think isNational
asking way too much. Throw a name like Moto Guzzi in there and really
watch the expression turn blank.
Preachin' to the choir...

Loopers,
I have the GMAC Rider Club Motorcycle insurance plan, through
General Insurance Company. I was looking over my paperwork, preparing$17.00
to
write a check for another year when I noticed that the EV gets a
"touring
motorcycle" discount while the Eldo does not. It only amounts to
aon
year difference, but I figured it was worth a phone call. I told the
woman
that both bikes have fairings, hard bags & tail trunks, & I ride them
both
as touring bikes (long distance 2-up etc.). Well, after a loooong wait
on
hold, she comes back to say that the "touring " designation is based
thethat
CCs of the bike, & that 850 is not big enough to qualify! How about
as
an insult to "The Only Motorcycle Built for Unlimited Touring"?!
