I've used "Federal-Allied" three times..they take the bike & the trucker ties
it onto a special skid. Seller is expected to drain the gas, but that's
all...I even had one bike arrive with the gas in it. Cost is determined by
distance, but it is cheaper if they pick it up at a commercial address (even an
office building works---as long as it's not a residence---which makes no sence).
It all takes about a week and a half from beginnning to delivery. I think you
might also save a few bucks if you can pick it up at their local terminal...I
always did that, but maybe it's becasue I didn't want my wife to see another
bike delivered!
