Most dedicated buffers are showing 3600 rpms. Torque is the key, if you
find your machine slowing up you're gonna work longer getting the "heat"
needed to shine.

www.eastwood.com is a great resourse to see whats available and sell
great buffs...try the yellow treated ones for a long lasting buff that
works well with your initial tripoli buffing.
I wish they had their new double wide ones when I was "active". Of
course you could always double up a couple of singles.

Be sure to wear a mask! Other wise you'll sneeze dust for days
afterwards.
