If I remember correctly from messing with old cars. If you apply power to a
generator it will run as a motor. That is how we used to bench test them,
So some how one of the 2 wires that goes to the top of the gen has voltage
being feed to it. You might look at your regulator. If you look at the
wiring diagram, the bosch set ups have the main voltage lead going through
the generator for some reason. Mine had a short in it a year back and drove
me crazy. It melted my fuse block and caused the battery voltage to drop to
6v when trying to start the bike. I believe one of the hot leads from the
starter goes into the reg then to the fuse block. I changed the reg and
have not had a problem since

Ok, so when I got home tonight I began eliminating wires one by one- and
it is the red wire going to the generator- now here is a weird/bad
thing- I put in a higher amp fuse so it would not short immediately and
when I did this and put the white/black light from the fuse block(power)
to the generator light with the red wire comign from the generaTOR it
started spinning the generator- I have never seEn that before, I
double(and triple)checked the genrator and regulator wires and
everything seems fine- ANY CLUES? Thanks for all the help so far.

Did you try unhooking one wire at a time to see which was the cause of the blown fuse? What I mean by that is remove the wire from the generator side and check, then re-install and remove the wire going to the oil pressure and then do the same going to the neutral switch. Also try removing the starter button wire from the top of the fuse and see what happens. Process of elimination.
