Hi Rich,
I believe you are referring to my website...and thanks for the
compliments - it's always nice to hear positive things.

First, for the bushings. To the best of my knowledge, you'll have to get
them elsewhere. I have not found replacements yet, but took the time to
measure my originals when I was fiddling with the shift linkage. I think
someone here had a source for one of the bushings??? I know the MG Cycle
does not have them - at least the last time a spoke to Gordon and Rick
about it.

Second, about the Heim joints vs ball joint linkages...I just call them
Heim joints. To me, the terms are interchangeable. If they are not,
please enlighten me. As for the link to the McMaster Carr website,
thanks for catching my mistake. Here is the correct URL (now updated on
my website); or search for item number 6275K33.

Best of luck!

I was looking at your site an reviewing the shift linkage tips. I'm thinking of doing mine, since we're stll covered in snow and I've got a couple of questions. On the bushings, are these just Guzzi parts fro the catalog or do I have to get them elsewhere? If elsewhere, then where and what're they made of? On the heim joints, the picture on your site looks like a small ball joint but the link points to a heim joint, which I think is different. Is this a ball joint you're using or am I just confused? Thanks for the great site and for any help! -Rich |
