Paul:
One of the tricks you can do is test your condenser (actually a
capacitor) with them-use the continuity setting and touch the probes to
the case and the wire of the condenser to charge it (the meter has a
battery), then switch them and the needle should just slightly flick as
it discharges. Also good for checking aardvark amperage and monkey
milliamps.
Can't do that with a digital meter.
