Hi Ted,
I wouldn't think there would be a problem with the single valve springs
unless it was with float at high RPMs. The V700/early Ambo heads also
have smaller valve diameters so you'll not get the horsepower of the
later heads. They use a different guide as well, but the later style
will work without the locating circlip or ridge. One plus that I've
noticed though is that the V700 heads don't seem to crack between the
(intake or exhaust? - can't remember right now) valve and sparkplug hole
like most of the later heads do. If you use them I'd recommend using the
reducer inserts sandwiched between two gaskets for proper port velocity
and heat isolation. Cheers,

Hey Guys I have a old set of heads that came off a 700 or 750 with the
metal inserts for intake side. When you have the inserts out the intake
hole is too big for the newer square sided carbs. Are these heads as
good as the others. Looks like the dual springs will not fit . They have
good exhaust threads! Any problems with the single spring valves.
