Oh C'mon Tom....Riding should be secondary to 'figurin', 'fussin',
'vestigatin', 'verifyin' and such.....LOL
I happen to own a '70 Ambassador that I know the complete life story on
but it don't matter much 'cept that I am SURE how reliable it has been.
To paraphrase what you said Tom, I'm for Riding not Ranting.

Hi all, The first Guzzi I rode was bought by me and my dad, from the ARIZONA Hiway Patrol. It had a disk brake, but I do not remember it having a siren mount. I have a 73 Eldo that was used by the Phoenix PD, but it does NOT have the siren mount. They made a neat little plate that mounts inside the windjammer fairng for a couple gauges, and the microphone clip was popriveted to the fairing. It is still on there. This bike has square police bags and rear crashbars, surfboard type floorboards and separate speedo/tach. I also have an early Civilian/police bike, regular front brake, chrome fenders, all the cop jazz and no siren mount. Also has saddlebags, teardrop type...DB? I dunno. I'm just gonna get 'em going and ride 'em, and not try to fugure them out! The Arizona Kid LFL 009 Tom Short AZ MGNOC Rep Phoenix, AZ |
