the otc/matco one looks pretty similar to the autozone one. the
autozone one is guaranteed for life (i think - you may want to check on
it), and since you're technically buying it when you rent it, you can
return it at anytime, no questions asked. at least that's what they told
me the last time i rented it..
here's a link to see it..

oh and it's $139.99 - sure it's not a snap-on, but a warranty is a
warranty... and it doesn't seem like a daily use tool, so i personally
can't justify the cost, it's a nice tool for free..

That might be the way to go, but I'd prefer to own.

Matco has this:

Snap-on has this:

OR:

OTC Tools has this (which *looks* identical to the Matco photo and even
has part of the same part number: "4581"):

Anybody have experience with these?

i use the tool they "rent" to you for around $175.00 at auto zone -
haven't found a need to buy it yet, it seems to always be in stock
there - works excellent..

I'm looking for recommendations for a good, reasonably priced blind
bearing puller that will work well for removing the bearings in the 4
and 5 speed transmissions. I'd like it to be able to fit a variety of
bearing sizes.
