Thanks Tom I appreciate the offer, but I'm really trying to get the correct
hardware. I've looked through several luggage supply catalogs and haven't
found clips that are heavy enough. The originals are pretty beafy.

After you mentioning the V700 strap, I looked r e a l l y closely at the
original sales brochure thet I have, and, yes indeedy, there are some
clips.
I am going to the hardware store to find something similiar, and have my
brother sew one up for me. If it turns out well, I'll have another made
up for you. Should be under $10.
