One thing to consider before purchasing replacement "crosses" is whether
or not you want to spend the time to remove the old crosses. My Dad
brought me an old worn out U-Joint this past weekend and - even after
being soaked in oil for years - it won't come apart easily. The caps on
the end of the crosses become rusted in place. I'm still working on it,
but it's not fun. Once I get it apart, I'm only going to use the splined
ends as tools. So, I could just cut it apart...but what would the fun in
that (and what would I learn)?
On the plus side, as long as you catch the impending failure soon enough
and the splines aren't trashed, replacing the crosses should get you
back in the saddle for less than half the price of a new one (even with
the $18 shipping charge).

I did not know of any replacement U joints that would fit the Loop Frame Yokes. I took a blown out unit down to a drive train supply show and they went all through their books and could not comr up with anything.
