well.. I'm all teary-eyed now. My first guzzi sighting was a V7 Sport in
a '73 issue of Cycle World (or maybe Motorcyclist?). Anyway, the summer
of '74, in San Diego, I went to a Guzzi dealer to buy one (I think in El
Cajon?).. and was crushed when told they were no longer available...I
managed to recover a bit when I looked at a beautiful, brand spanking
new, "Interceptor" (850-T). $2495 later, she was in the back of my van.
My prior bike being a 550 Honda... you can imagine my delight opening
this baby up on the 805 on-ramp.. a nicely banked, up-hill sweeper.. at
ungodly speed (stupid 19 year-old). She's long gone, of course.. but
still got the memories.

I had to sell the first Guzzi I owned due to divorce in 1985, I'd like to
locate it if possible. Please let me know if you should know the
where-abouts of:
Ambassador, titled as a 1972
Factory black w/white stripes paint when sold, Wixom bags, small Wixom
trunk, "Vindicator" fairing (windjammer w/out turnsignals) 18wheeler
teardrop running lights on fairing for turnsignals.(Bags & fairing
spray-bomb black-no stripes)
Motor overbored to 900cc, had 2 hoses exiting motor on right side below
the

cylinder running to/from an oil filter mounted on a bracket between the
(K&N) airfilters and the battery. Suburu alternator inplace of generator.
Eldo 5-speed tranny & rear end.
4-shoe front brake
air shocks
headlight bucket removed, fuse box in right toolbox
air horns, compressor in left toolbox.
The guy I sold it to was from PA, near Harrisburg I think. He said it was
his first Guzzi & that he was a "Triumph guy"
Thanks,
Ron Komoroski
