Hello All-
I'm having trouble setting my carbs up, after soaking them in carb
cleaner and after having put in new jets and gaskets and filters, and
having synched the throttle slides. Wah!
I've read through all the posts that showed up when I did a search for
'carburetor,' and gas is flowing happily to the carbs, valves are
freshly set. I will check timing again and battery voltage, and I'll
check the gas venting.
I understand the pilot screws ought to be 1.5 turns out for the left
carb, and 1.75 for the right, and that turning in tends to richen the
mix, turning out tends to lean out the mix.
Right now my problem is I can get the idle steady (pilot screws
Left:1.5, Right:2) but when I goose the throttle, the revs don't want to
settle back down to around 1000rpm.
Comments, anyone?
Thanks in advance!

How do you set the larger, more accessible 'throttle slide' screw above
the pilot screw?
