Depending on the make and model, I believe that many of the Toyota forklift
engine parts are the same as the Toyota Land Cruiser making them possibly
more available than you might have thought. The gasoline 6 cylinders are
the F, 2F or 3F. Diesel would be 2H or 3B most likely. I assume the
forklift was probably gas? Those Toyota engines would have been available
in the 40 and 60 series Land Cruiser models (FJ40 and FJ60 were gas, BJ40
and BJ60 were diesel) through at least 1988, so would readily be available
from a dealer or Napa.
I'm not 100% positive on the forklift to TLC crossover, but I am pretty sure.
