Subject: Broken Bolt Hell

Here's the update on my broken crashbar bolt. Well, it's gone. However,
there's now a gaping 3/8" hole where it once was. No part of the bolt
came out, so I drilled the snot out of it. Seemed to be welded in there!
(Yes Dave, I "eventually" took off the crash, header, etc.) Seems I
just couldn't drill the exact center, and the new hole is slightly left.
Is there a threaded sleeve I could insert? There's no way in hell I can
re-tap this thing. How bad do I even need a bolt up there? My thought
now is to weld a bolt head to the crash for asthetics, and just put it
back. Would the crash bar be secure enough with the top part inserted,
and the two bottom bolts tightened up?
