I have been consistently working on the rebuild and assembly of my 73 Eldo project bike. Not to bad, it has been going on for 3 freakn' years. I imagine a few of us have been there. I've never ridden it more than a couple of hundred yards when I decided to tear it down and "fix"a few things. I noticed that every piece you clean, polish or replace makes the pieces next to it look ratty. One thing leads to another and you start asking yourself, "how far do I go with this project?" First I'm replacing only what is needed. Then I'm just cleaning up a couple of things, then powdercoating, painting, polishing, rewiring, modifying.....
I have been involved wih bikes for over 35 years. I have seen lots and lots of changes over the years. The other brands are nice. But I only have one favorite brand Guzzi. This list, guzziology, members stories , the rallies that makes it all worthwhile.
Thanks for listening,
Tom in Boston
