The V7 (V700) and early Ambo used a single valve spring and had smaller
valves (also used different guides and had a long head bolt/nut opposite
the sparkplug). Later heads had two springs per valve, larger valves.
Later yet were the heads with the "bosses" cast in for the exhaust
flange studs (versus threaded collars/nuts). Probably other variations I
don't know about too! Cheers,

perhaps, i just found another head descrepency - some ambo heads have 1 valve spring, and some have 2. i attempted to put 2 springs on a one spring head today. everything fit, but when you turn the engine over, the innerspring reaches full compression early, and it binds (if you put the valves at .15 and .25) if you go looser, even just .05, it'll work, but i bet there's a hell of a lot of valve noise. i actually have 3 different ambo heads - i thought there was only 2 different kinds (and i thought the only difference was valve size, but that is not the case...)
