Hey everyone.
Got the eng/trans in today (due to my inexperience and cobbled together equipment it was a little harder than I thought it would be) and although that was a big and fun step forward I had a couple of minor setbacks. 1) I learned it's a good idea to take the rear brake light switch off before doing this procedure. damn! 2) While giving the engine spacers a quick buffing before installation I somehow managed to knock the generator off the workbench. D'oh!! landed right on it's nose and busted the cast pulley/fan piece on the front. double damn!! I'd really like not to have to buy a whole new gen because of my stupidity so I'm hoping someone may have the front casting from a Bosch Generator (it's from the '72 Eldo) or an old generator working or not they could sell me, or any other suggestions y'all might have. Gonna call it quits for today and drink beers.
Happy Christmas to all
Steve
