I used it on my engine left it on overnight and it was a disaster,
ozidized the aluminum and I spent a couple of days to undo the damage.
There are lots of commercial degreasers out there, even kerosene and a
wire brush if you want to be simple about it. To finish up try Eagle One
aluminum brightener, or anything else that has phosphoric acid as the
active ingredient. Make sure you rinse and rinse and rinse it off, wear
gloves, eye protection, don't drink it, etc.
