When that machine shop gets the spigots turned down, they will fall right
into place. I think this is a much better option than ruining a 700 case by
making it weaker.
I did the same thing to my 700 last year. Runs GREAT!! One more thing to
remember is that you will need the 750 head gaskets instead of the 700s.
Good luck

greets- unhappy surprize, folks. the V700 has a smaller bore in the block than the ambo.... crap!!! i had re-assembled the lower end for my '67, and mounted the ambo pistons, then slid one of the ambo jugs over the piston, but it would not go into the engine case. sigh.... currently, the cylinders are at my buddies machine shop- next week, he is gonna turn down the spigots. it was either that, or diss-assemble the lower end and bore out the block. did any of ya'll know THAT? [not me, obviously]. just think- i have 2 other V-700'S in the wings- sheesh! on another note- the clutch plates were dripping with oil- don't even ask if it was engine oil or not- too darn cold up here to tell the difference betw. 90wt. and 30wt. this bike has only 1500miles on it. rear main seal still seemed supple. i am betting on the trans. input seal. time will tell. man, when ya already have a main ride, ya kinda slack off, or something. [maybe it's the beer?????] andy- not much ambition, plenty of guzzi's- ciao! |
