Steve,If you know someone with a lathe you could take some off the cam
flange face.This is what I did on an Ambo I rebuilt,don't remember how
much,still had a little play.I would not go any where near .070 as it may
weeken the flange. Dave

I have a feeling that it will run fine with that much end-play without causing any trouble. If you are really concerned, I'd replace the camshaft flange and call it good. Steven Camp wrote:
