I sent this email last night, but accidentally from the wrong address, so I'm resending.

Well, I finally took about a half block ride on the '74 Eldo I bought in
1997.
After burning some of it in 97 I mostly rewired it, then moved away until
2002. I just started working on it this summer and rode it yesterday.

At first I thought there was something wrong when I gave it the gas and felt
the weird sideways torque action.

I need to tune the carbs and probably set the timing still. But I have one
question I'm not sure about. After sitting for so long I think some of the
clutch plates are stuck together as the clutch is VERY jumpy. No matter how
carefully I let out it just grabs and takes off. Is there a remedy for this
(the kerosene treatment?) or should the clutch free up after a little
riding?

Thanks for all the help everyone (especially Greg Bender for your website)

I'll post pictures soon.
Ted
