This is a really bad idea for anyone who rides in traffic. If you stall
with the bike in gear, you have to first find neutral, and then use
your left hand to turn the key switch (assuming a police eldo). Easy to
get run over in such a situation.

I thought about moving the starter button down to the key switch but then thought that it might be awful inconvenient to restart if the bike happened to die at a traffic light or something. It hasn't done it yet (it idles real regular and reliable) but you never know....Have others found the key switch to be a reasonable place to start the bike from? |
