Um, do you realize that the Convert clutch is entirely different from
the 4speed or 5speed clutches? The convert has a torque converter
attached to the flywheel. The Convert has only two gears, high and low,
with no neutral position at all. Inside the transmission it has a
multi-plate (I think 11 plates) clutch derived from the Nuovo Falcone.
The Convert clutch is slipping because there are fully 16 seals,
gaskets, crush washers which do a poor job of retaining fluids. Good luck.
