Hi Tom,
Guzziology states that there are three versions of the 4-speed
transmission. Here is Dave's data:
1. (V7's to frame #2119) - uses all straight cut gears.
2. (most V7's) - uses straight cut gears for first gear and helical
gears for second through fourth gears.
3. (late V7's, V7 Special, and Ambo) - the final transmission uses all
hellical cut gears.

Hi all, Is there any difference between a V700 tranny and an Ambo tranny?? I picked up two trannies and a 750 motor last night. One tranny is a four speed, the other 5 speed. The motor is missing a head, carbs and gen. All these items are for sale... Thanks. The Arizona Kid LFL 002 Tom Short AZ MGNOC Rep Phoenix, AZ |
