Hi Bob,
Have you tried Moto International? "Guzziology" lists part no. 1311 7540 as the correct cable and it's supposed to be still available. Might also try Agostini in Italy (http://www.agostiniduilio.com/negozioflash-ingl.html).
If you're really careful you may be able to remove the extra 15mm of outer cable. I've done it using electrical crimper/stripper pliers to open a gap and then clipping the exposed spiral with a pair of sidecutters. Hope this helps,
Charlie.

I am in need of the correct cables for the Eldorado that has Amal carbs. So far Harper and MG does not have any. My origianl cable had 115mm of exposed cable where the Dellorto cables seems to have only 100mm of exposed cable. I have tried the Dellorto type but the slide will not bottom out, needs the extra 15mm. Anyone got a part number for a Barnett cable, 7600 is not right. Or is there another animal out there that uses a cable that will work? I have some old Dellortos but the Amals have been performing real well, hate to scrap them and have to rebuild the Dellortos right now.I need to ride now and work on the Dellortos this winter. Thanks for any help BOB |
