Amazing! Maybe the true value of these bikes are in the parts? Kind of weird
to think that and I still can't understand how these bikes aren't more
valuable. Put $10,000 into the bike (like Mark does) and you can't sell the
thing for $5k.
As I have said for a long time....exposure is needed. Not like there is a
glut of these bikes to drive down the value... simply demand is low.
I believe the reason for this is that Loops are the "wrenching man's bike".
We are the type of people that would love to buy one for a $1000 and fix it
up and ride it. Not too many out there that want to buy a fixed up or
restored bike....
Does Jay Leno have one of these masterpieces in his collection? Maybe we
should plan a "ride in" to his show one day :-)
----------------------------------------------------------------- They went for over $800!! Crazy folks out there willing to pay big money for a set of floorboards that haven't even been re-chromed or powdercoated! Paul Midlothian, Va MGNOC#19926 73 Eldo "Elvira" ongoing project 74 Eldo "Daisy" I looked for it yesterday but couldn't see it. Anyone catch the final price? In some ways I should have parted out my basket case and made some money but I just couldn't see another Loop going to the grave. Maybe we should start a "Save the Loop" foundation. A non-profit organization dedicated to preserving these great beasts from extinction :-) Ciao...Ian |
