Subject: carb slide and throttle cable?

OK may sound dumb but I had the carbs apart for a long time and want to
verify the Chiltons is wronmg in their picture.

The slide is oriented so that the longest side is to the sir cleaner
side?

The throttle cable comes down outside of the spring and is held in place
by the slide spring?

I assume this is right but thought I would ask.
