actually,the new vespas are quite nice. the gt is liquid cooled ,4 stroke(they still make a 2 stroke)and can cruise about 80mph. piaggio owns the gilera name and a few other things but i cant think of them right now,its to early to think! i think it will be a good thing. well of to a scooter gathering.

well, from my perspective, it's good a scooter company is buying guzzi,
at least they ain't gonna kill it to eliminate competition. hell maybe
they'll even put money into racing. that would be nice. i wish i owned
a vespa to see if they give a shit about owners. that would tell it
all. but the funny thing is piaggio got turned down by mv agusta? mv
has gotta be tiny (under 10,00 units a year). but i have a feeling mv
agusta doesn't make bikes to make a profit...
yeah, it's all speculation.what else does piggio own? they gotta be
making a killing selling them vespas - it seems they ain't put a dime
into r&d in a long time. but then again neither did guzzi..
