Cam,
The turn signals on my Eldo died this year and the culprit was the
original flasher unit, not the switch. It is a good idea to check out the
switch and clean the contacts to make sure that it works well. Then pack in
some dielectric grease to keep corrosion at bay.
Just go down to you friendly auto parts place and get a two-pronged,
12 V flasher unit off the self. I got one that was dubbed 'heavy duty'.
The only thing missing would be the bracket to attach the unit to the bike.
Mine is currently free floating around the voltage regulator.

My turn signal switch stopped working. It's about 3 years old, and does not appear to be fried. It's the snuff box type on the right side. Any suggestions? Cam in NJ '74 Eldo Police |
