I've seen two floorboard setups for ambo/eldos and no doubt
there are more.
One kind (which I have a set of) has DB surfboard style floorboards
mounted on a H-shaped frame that uses the rear engine bolt for
one support and the centre of the "H" as a front support. This
kind generally has a loop welded above and to the rear of the
shifter shaft to support the left end.
The other set of floorboards that I saw has a forwards control setup,
with a linkage from a pedal located towards the front of the board
to the shifter linkage. The brake has a similar linkage on the
opposite side.

Hi, Ok, so here's another question. I am planning to use stock floorboards=20 on my 73 Eldo. After Jeff's dilemma came up and I checked the=20 appropriate parts on my bike, I noticed that the end of the shaft he was= =20 concerned about (the one that goes into the left rear hole of the tranny= =20 and sticks out to the left footpeg) does not line up with any of the=20 support holes in the floorboard rail. This shaft is listed in the parts=20 book in Plate 9, #13, part #1325 1165. However, in the police addendum=20 it is in Table 9, #30, part #1325 1240. Obviously two different parts. In order to use the stock floorboards do I need to find the police=20 version of the shaft and if so, where does the far left end of this=20 shaft go? Does anyone have one for sale or trade (thinking ahead)?
