If it were me I'd just do it and don't worry about it. I've broken all
kinds of laws riding my BSA around without headlights or turn signals or
inspection stickers or anything else....and when I get stopped, all the
policeman wants to talk about is what a neat old bike it is, and he used
to have one like it. Never a ticket. Conservative riding and full
mufflers don't hurt.
I'll bet it'll work for you too. Except that the officer is not likely
to say "Wow, I had a SuperAlce just like that when I was 18!"
If he does, you're in like Flynn anyway.
