Thanks for the pics from Poland, John. That red one in
the center is a Simson Sport, the same type of bike I
had while in Romania. It's an East German copy of a
BMW r27, with some modifications. The Sport model was
made from 1960 through 1962 if I remember correctly -
old bikes are cheep in Eastern Europe.
I'm curious what the black flat-twin is. All the
Dneiprs and Urals I am familiar with have overhead
valves, but that one looks like a side-valve.
