Hey Corntown,
Yea, I'm listening....And let me be the first to
congraulate you on your accomplishment. I was there at the beginning & I
saw what you started with...I saw the 2 quarts of water run out of the
crankcase when we pulled the oil drain plug. I was there when we were
beating on the left piston with a 2 x 4 trying to get it out of the
cylinder far enough to remove the wrist pin. Even though you may say
these things are much simpler than a Norton, they have their own set of
"challenges" that can try your patience, such as cam timing. And I've
seen your work...I'm sure it will be a sight to behold, especially if
you're into vanilla & orange?!
Get all the bugs worked out, 'cause me & Junkyard will
be in your driveway @ 10:30 am on July 15th for the ride up to VMD.
That's when the Loop-Off begins...when the rubber meets the road!
Your Pal

Hello all.....Very happy to say that I took the Dreamcycle on its inaugural ride today. Not real far...about 25 miles, but everything went quite well. I've had bikes for over 35 years, but this is the first Guzzi I've owned, ridden and rebuilt. It hadn't run in about 15 years, and presented a very unique series of challenges...but DAMN IS THIS A COOL BEAST!! It seems like such a stately old gentlemen, with a bit of attitude. Just like to say thanks to this group for all the help provided. Looking forward to riding the Dream to VMD.....and hope to see many of you there. Free beer to everybody that votes the Dreamcycle over that P.O.S. Junkyard Dawg that Joe Gump from hilljack Missouri intends to ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Cheers, Brett in Indy Hey Gump.....you listening?????????????????? |
