I mentioned it because I tried just the same thing on my Eldo - I had
the solo seat off a a '54 HD 74 I had once, and made some brackets (no
frame mods) to graft it to the Eldo; it DID look clean and "open" but it
felt awful.

I guess having a Guzzi as your main competition is better than some
things it could be...
