Hi,
Had to go to the local import store for parts for my '66 VW bus and
picked up a Bosch blue coil, 12v, for the Eldo while there. It was $28
and the part # on the box is 00012. Hope that helps someone.
Picked up the rest of my powder coating also and will assemble the forks
tonight. Had already done this about a month ago and discovered one of
my "ears" was cracked midway down from the top, at the bolt point, about
an inch long. Not a critical structural point but it certainly would
have rattled sooner or later and I haven't settled for 2nd best or "good
enough for" attitude on this bike yet. Don't plan to. I actually had a
spare ear but it was cracked in exactly the same place! So I had it
welded and coated. Wish I'd seen this earlier. Oh well.
Got beer cooling down in the shop fridge, the a/c on (it's 92 today!)
and plenty of good old blues tunes waiting to crank. Should be a good
night. It'll be a shame to have to go back to work tomorrow. Oh well,
it's a long weekend coming. Enjoy everyone.
