Same happened to me two weeks ago up in the mountains. A six-inch piece
of duct tape cured it. MI has new clips, and Mark E. prolly does, too.
The screws are available used only. I'd try Mark E.
Use loctite on the new screws.

It seems that the screws and spring clips that hold the distibutor cap on had taken flight somewhere on the road. With the help of a short length of baling wire procured from a helpful convenience store clerk I made it home without further problems. Now, does anyone have those clips and screws I could buy, beg, borrow or steal? It doesn't even show them in my parts book. Also, is this fairly common and if so, is there a secret to keeping them in place, such as Locktite. Thanks in advance for your help.
